trying 2013
my drawings from progecad 2011 if they do not make the software crash .. are impossible to work with. Zooming and rotating takes an eternity...
Some drawings have parts that are completely distorted..
Could it be that my computer is not adapted for progecad 2013 ?

Dear 10augustus,

Unlike previous versions of progeCAD, progeCAD 2013 has been completely redeveloped from ground-up and includes code from IntelliCAD 7. Although we do not have a specific bug already on file which sounds like your problem, it is possible that your situation is more unique.

Today, progeCAD 2013 has again been updated to 13.0.4 with many important fixes.

Please download the latest version of progeCAD 2013 from http://www.caddit.net/progecad/progecad.php and revert back to us if there is any improvement?

Thanks.

Dear friends,

Thanks for the reply !

I updated to the latest version but no changes at all !. Rotating and zooming drawings is responding extremely slow ( jumps ) and a layer with blocks that is hidden , pops up in black during the "flashes" of the moving drawing.

This might be an issue with your graphics card?

Try clicking from progeCAD 2013 menu:
Tools > Options menu, to select the Display tab and to Activate (De-Activate if it is already active) the Hardware Acceleration option.

See if this improves your results?

Dear 10augustus,

Can we ask about your hardware and operating system? Also what kind of anti-virus and other background applications are running?

Looking at more detailed reports, a common theme we see developing with systems having noticeable "skip" or UI hesitation, seem to be PCs with sub-optimal hardware for 2013. We are currently revising the hardware requirements to consider this.

The problem systems seem now a bit old by 2013 standards, Windows XP based often further hindered with inexpensive "on-board" business graphics cards, etc. As with ANY true CAD system, you will enjoy best results with a proper OpenGL card (not DirectX - we use NVIDIA in our lab) and modern CPU (we do not support Atom processor , some older Athlon CPU etc)

We are still investigating, and will continue to update our users on this.
