Is it possible to add custom hatch patterns (.pat) to the hatch library? How should I add one if that is possible?

Thanks.

Dear jchia,

Like AutoCAD, progeCAD hatches are defined in a .pat file.

You need to create a custom .PAT file defining the hatch that you want. There are a few restrictions on .pat file definitions:
  • As with AutoCAD pat files, progeCAD pat geometry has to be based on straight lines
  • You need to learn the special .pat file format.
Ralph Grabowski long ago published an outline for this HERE:

If you check page 101 of his free eBook Tailoring progeCAD, you will see very little difference with the progeCAD format:

There is also a decent laymans overview of for this HERE:

This should get you started please let us know if you need more information.[/list]
