I receive files from Surveyors containing a TIN representing the existing surface. Often I want to run simple batters (around a building or of a footpath for example) to determine the extent and impact during option assessment without going to the detailed designers.
Is it possible to:
1. turn the TIN into a surface, and
2. then test a batter profile (say extrude a shape along a path) to create a finished surface to find the intersection?
3. Can you then trim the new surface back to existing survey surface?
Thanks
