Hello,

My problem is that when I save a DWG file on my computer and send by email to another the file opens with only the layers I have created or amended.

The layers that are not dispalyed are 'greyed out' when looking at the layer list.

How do you display the greyed out layers once opened on another PC.

Running progeCAD 2010 (Ver 10.0.14.8) on Windows 7 Ultimate Edition.

Regards

welcome bdougan,

Sorry for the delay. If the name of the layer is "greyed out" from the progeCAD drop down menu, it could indicate that the layer is frozen. Freezing a layer leads to it disappearing in space and layout viewports, this is probably what you are observing.

Just click the "snowflake" icon next to the layer name in the list to thaw it back into view.

You can also try using the EXPLAYERS command to open up progeCAD Explorer and unthaw the layer.

Also make sure that any needed xrefs are being sent with the drawing in email.
