When I have the Grid displayed and I Copy or Move an object, the Grid disappears. To show the Grid again, I have to switch Grid off then on again.
How can I stop the Grid from disappearing?

Hi Bazza,

Which version of progeCAD are you using? 2010?

What operating system version? Are you using special graphics, what kind of card does the PC have? Are you using dual screens?

The reason we ask is because I simply cannot reproduce this problem at all here. Is this also with a blank (new) drawing or do you just experience this with certain files?

Please find all info below. It doesn't matter whether a new file or an existing one, the problem is still there.

Regards,
Barry

I have done a bit of experimenting.

If I start a new project from scratch the grid is displayed and I can copy and move. If I open an old project, the grid disappears not only on the old file but the new one as well.

If I restart the program, create a new file and save it then close and re-open that file, the grid does it's disappearing trick when I either copy or move an object.

Hello Bazza,

What CAD software system are these "old files" from? What version DWG are they, do you know?

Have you tried AUDIT or PURGE on these "old files" to check for any data corruption?

Otherwise we may ask for a sampe file to be sent to us..

I have just started the program. Gone to tools/drawing settings. Set Snap to 1, Grid to 2, Limits 296,209. Turned UCS Icon off. I have then drawn a rectangle. Clicked on Copy and highlighted the rectangle. When I right clicked on the mouse, the grid disappeared.

I shut down the program and re-started. Doing the same as above, but this time did not turn UCS Icon off. The grid stayed on and I was able to copy and move my object. Turning UCS Icon off, the grid disappeared when I tried to move one of the objects.
