Understanding the selected manufacturing process is just as critical for the part designer as it is for the manufacturer. As a help "from art to part", Dolphin CAD CAM provides low cost IGES / DXF CNC Milling, Lathe and Wire EDM Toolpath Generation, DNC and backplot simulation software. For High-end 3D Modelling and Surface machining for Injection mold application and other demading manufacturing tasks, VX CAD CAM is well suited.

Recent days has seen the rise of many useful Rapid Prototyping processes (RP). A useful site for general knowlege of RP is http://home.att.net/~castleisland. (Also see http://www.cc.utah.edu/~asn8200/rapid.html). Old "Cadkey" users may be interested in my still-available STLin2 script for importing SLA ascii format triagle meshes directly into the Cadkey workspace.

For the efficient design and long-term understanding of industrial process, I recommend using FMEA. There are excellent rescources available for producing and Understanding FMEA at the FMEA Info Center

As a Work In Process, we have recently opened our textile showcase to the public. This is a sample of the work one of our manufacturing partners, providing exceptional value for cost.
